Download instructions: To use the sound grapher with the TEEMSS2 Sound Unit 1, download it to your desktop: Right-click (Mac: control-click) on the Sound Grapher link. Choose and click on 'save target as', 'save link as', or 'download link to disk'. Save the file SoundGrapherTeemss.jnlp to your desktop. To open the sound grapher, double-click on SoundGrapherTeemss.jnlp. Connecting the Microphone

1. It was tested on Mac OS X 10.2 or higher and on Windows 98/XP/2000 (Windows Enabling Instructions)

2. Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE) v1.5 or higher.

3. In order to record using SoundGrapher, your computer must have a microphone. Most laptops have built-in microphones. Desktops can use an inexpensive plug-in microphone.

4. The input volume for your microphone must usually be turned up.

• For a Mac, this is done under System Preferences/Sound.
• On Windows 2000, go to Settings / Control panel / sound and multimedia. Pick the Audio tab. Choose a Sound Recording device. Click on the Volume button.
  
  
  
• Check the Select box for Microphone. then adjust the microphone slider to its maximum.
