• Bring in some battery-operated toys or tools from home. What kind of batteries do they use? Use the voltage sensor to measure the voltage of the battery or batteries. Can you tell whether or not the batteries are in new condition or used? Refer to Technical Hints to measure voltage over time.
  
• What happens to the strength (voltage) of a battery with use? Make a simple complete circuit using a battery and a light bulb. Use the voltage sensor to measure what happens to the battery's voltage as time passes. Refer to Technical Hints to measure voltage over time.
  
• Are all conductors the same? Find out what metals conduct electrical charge the best. What insulators work the best at not conducting electrical charge? Do some materials conduct electrical charge a little bit, but not really well?
