• Suppose a house needs a great deal of repair. The shingles need painting, the roof is leaking, the refrigerator doesn't keep the food cold, etc. To fix the house you will need to use tools, many of which will be simple machines. Pick five tasks that you will do to repair the house. Describe how you will do the task using at least two different simple machines for each task. Explain how the gadget that you use will work. Use the force sensor to test for the best gadget.
  
• Log on to the Rube Goldberg Machine Contest site at http://www.rubegoldberg.com/html/contest.htm. Review the national challenge and attempt to complete the task measuring force with the force sensor wherever possible.
