Thinking About The Question

How do animals' senses help them survive?


Picture yourself as a wild animal whose habitat you know something about. An animal's habitat is where it lives -- for example, thick bushes, a grassy meadow, underground, shallow ponds. Describe what you eat, and who your natural enemies are.

Suppose your animal needs to hide itself in its environment, so that it can't be seen very easily. How could you change how it looks? Draw two pictures of your animal. Refer to Technical Hints to create a drawing.

Draw a desert scene with your animal hidden in it.

Draw a forest scene with your animal hidden in it.
